Interim Appointment Protocol Highlights:
Mandatory screening before your appointment : 48 hours before your appointment you will get a mandatory Covid screening sent to you via email. Please complete this online screening and it will automatically be sent to your therapist. This will beed to be filled in before every appointment you have booked until these requirements are lifted. It needs to be filled when you receive it or your appointment will be cancelled the day before your appointment so that we have time to screen another patient on our waiting list to fill your spot. We are not permitted to treat patients that do not do this screening before their appointment.
Covid-19 liability waiver: you will be sent a Covid liability waiver via email when you book your appointment that will need to be filled in. This form is only required once. Please fill in all forms prior to your appointment.

You can use the self checkin feature from your car or prior to entering the clinic but it is not necessary. It is an option for those that choose to use it. We are not permitted to have people sitting in our reception area please arrive The chairs that are present are simply for pregnant women or those with low back pain that are unable to stand for even a few moments.
Clinic protocols: Please wear a mask while in the clinic, please use hand sanitizer or wash your hands as soon as you enter the clinic and when you are leaving. Please also adhere to social distancing protocols while in the clinic.
Communal Areas: We are doing our best to sanitize all communal areas however these spaces are difficult to control. We recommend that you limit touching areas like the railings etc when entering the building. Please use the washroom at home prior to your appointment as the washroom is a communal space shared by other businesses. Please also use hand sanitizer as soon as you enter the clinic.
Cancelling appointments: please cancel your appointment if you are sick, if you or a family member have been travelling outside of the province or if you are required to self isolate.
Not accepting new patients to the clinic:
We have decided to not accept new patients at Quanta Integrated Health at this time. We find it difficult to establish proper communication with new patients and its unclear if they are familiar with our policies and procedures prior to their first appointment. This has put unnecessary strain on our therapists as they attempt to ensure that our new patients understand our policies and procedures and are willing to adhere to them. Our objectives at this time are to ensure that our therapists and patients are in an environment with minimal risk to them and we are all working collaboratively to ensure this. We feel that its difficult to determine if unknown patients are compliant and will ensure that they follow the policies and procedures in place as we have not established a professional relationship. We are confident with our current patient base at the clinic that they will follow our policies and procedures to keep all of those at Quanta safe as we have already established a professional relationship with clear expectations, boundaries and open lines of communication. We have already established an clinic environment where patients will not come in sick and will cancel appointments, will respect the current procedures and polices in place and they will also adapt to new protocols and procedures that arise periodically. We feel that by limiting new patients at Quanta we minimize any adverse impact on our current patient base, ensure that we are remaining compliant and we can meet the needs of our current patients while adhering to our strict protocols.
COVID changes at Quanta
The clinic opening is contingent on a few principals and guidelines that we are obligated to adhere to. We have been given temporary interim guidelines that we are require to implement in order to re-open. We recognize change is hard but these are mandated procedures in order to to operate during this time. There is a complete list of new procedures and protocols on our website however here are the ones that will affect your appointments so I will list them here.
We are requesting the following from all of our patients in order to ensure the wellbeing of all of our patients and therapists:
All patients and staff are required to use the self-assessment screening tool the day of treatment. This is a requirement for us to open. You will have to confirm that you have self assessed prior to your treatment. This is a requirement for each and every appointment moving forward until our governing body removes this requirements.
All patients will be required to sign a new consent form and a new waiver at their first appointment once we re-open. This will only have to happen for the first appointment and verbal consent will be obtained for all subsequent appointments.
Our reception area is no longer allowed to be a waiting area. Its not permitted due to our new guidelines. Please arrive at your appointment time. We are not allowed to have people sitting in the waiting area for extended periods of time. We are requesting those that drive to please wait in your car until your appointment time and arrive just a few minutes before your appointment. If you are walking or taking transit please arrive as close to your appointment time as possible. We still have chairs in the reception area however it is very difficult for us to adhere to the social distancing requirements due to the small space so please try to be as respectful of others as possible if you are in the common space.
Please arrive on time. If you are late for your appointment we will be unable to adjust your appointment times outside of the booked time due to a requirement to have time between patients. All appointments will start and end on the time that is booked. Please use our self check feature if possible when you arrive. There is more details about that below or on our website here.
Please arrive alone for your appointment. We are not permitted to have people that are not patients in the clinic at this time. Unless you are a minor or an individual that requires someone to help you during the appointment do not bring them to your appointment that this time.
Upon arrival to the clinic you are asked to use the hand sanitizer provided for you and to remove any disposable gloves your have been wearing outside of the clinic. We need all patients to either wash their hands or use the hand sanitizer that is in the reception area as soon as they get into the clinic and when they are leaving. We request this prior to touching any items in the clinic. Feel free to also use it on your way out.
Please use the washroom at home prior to your appointment. Due to our washroom being a communal washroom shared with other businesses we cannot guarantee that it will be disinfected for every patient. Our washrooms are cleaned regularly. By choosing to use the public washroom you are acknowledging that the owners and staff at Quanta, the building owners and lease holder are not responsible.
We encourage you to bring a clean mask with you to your appointment to wear throughout your appointment. If you do not have a mask and require one to wear throughout the treatment you will be provided for you for a small charge. Please do not enter the clinic without a mask.Contact us and we will meet you outside the door to provide you with one.
Please adhere to social distancing recommendations if you do run into another patient at the clinic. We will be staggering our appointment times but we do need everyone to be respectful of this at this time.
If you are experiencing any cold and flu symptoms, do not make appointments, and please cancel appointments that you do have. Do not come into the clinic if you are symptomatic. You need to stay home, rest and recover. You can cancel your appointment online if it is more than 24 hours in advance. Within 24 hours, you can contact your therapist directly (email addresses listed below) or email us at clinic@quantahealth.ca
If you have been outside of the country or the province, please follow the federal guidelines and self-isolate for 14 days. We have been advised not to treat any patients that have been outside of the country or province until 14 days after they have arrived home. This unfortunately means that you will have to cancel your appointments at the clinic even if you are asymptomatic. You can resume massage therapy appointments once your 14 days are up. This also applies if a family member that is living with you has travelled outside of the country.
These requests are in alignment with the Public Health and Provincial Health Directives, and your efforts will help to keep us all healthy and safe. We all have a responsibility to ensure we are limiting possible transmission, and we thank you for doing your part. For more information about the health and safety policies and procedures that we have in place please go to our website.
