Interim Appointment Protocol Highlights (UPDATED December 1, 2022) :
Communicable disease Process: If you have any signs and symptoms of any communicable disease ( cold/flu or COVID-19 etc) you are not permitted to obtain treatment, enter the clinic or book appointments at Quanta Integrated Health. We expect patients to cancel appointments online prior to their appointment if they develop signs and symptoms of a communicable disease. If they have symptoms in the 2-3 days leading up to their appointment you are expected to cancel online and not wait and see if you are symptomatic. Please book when you are asymptomatic or 10 days after a positive covid test. Do not book appointments if you still have symptoms even if it has been 10 days post onset of symptoms. If it is the the day of treatment that they develop symptoms they will email the clinic or contact their therapist directly either via email or text. They will also cancel appointments if they have been in close contact with someone who has signs of a communicable disease or if I have come in close contact with a person diagnosed with or suspected to have COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
If you are experiencing any cold and flu symptoms, do not make appointments, and please cancel appointments that you do have. Do not come into the clinic if you are symptomatic. You need to stay home, rest and recover. You can cancel your appointment online if it is more than 24 hours in advance. Within 24 hours, you can contact your therapist directly or email us at clinic@quantahealth.ca
Mandatory covid assessment: no longer required. The mandatory covid assessment we sent out 48 hours before your appointment will no longer be sent to you. Please self assess and cancel any appointments if you have any signs and symptoms.
Masks are no longer mandatory: The CMT has advised us that although masks are required in health care settings they have confirmed with Government officials that this is no longer a requirement in a massage therapy clinic. We do however respect all of our patients positions on this and if you prefer wearing a mask during your appointment please bring one with you to wear and your therapist will also wear one throughout the duration of your appointment.
Covid-19 liability waiver: you will be sent a Covid liability waiver via email when you book your first appointment after July 2021 that will need to be filled in. This form is only required once. Please fill in all forms prior to your appointment.
Arrival and reception area protocols: we are no longer able to use our reception area as waiting area in order to limit contact with others. please arrive a few moments before your appointment time and leave promptly after your appointment. You can use the self checkin feature from your car or prior to entering the clinic but it is not necessary. It is an option for those that choose to use it. We are not permitted to have people sitting in our reception area please arrive alone. The chairs that are present are simply for pregnant women or those with low back pain that are unable to stand for even a few moments.
Clinic protocols regarding Masks and Hand Sanitizer: Masks are not longer mandatory at the clinic. If you do prefer wearing a mask throughout your appointment we encourage you to bring a clean mask with you to your appointment and your therapist will also wear a 3 ply medical mask during your appointment. Please use hand sanitizer or wash your hands as soon as you enter the clinic and when you are leaving. Please use hand sanitizer when you are done touching personal items such as your phone.
Communal Areas: We are doing our best to sanitize all communal areas however these spaces are difficult to control. We recommend that you limit touching areas like the railings etc when entering the building. Please use the washroom at home prior to your appointment as the washroom is a communal space shared by other businesses. Please also use hand sanitizer as soon as you enter the clinic and after touching your phone or other personal items.
Cancelling appointments: please cancel your appointment if you are sick, if you or a family member have been travelling outside of the province or if you are required to self isolate. Do not show up for your appointment if you are sick (even if you are Covid Negative). If you are sick please stay home. If a close contact or someone in your household is sick, covid positive or told to isolate then you are required to cancel your appointment until 10 days following their onset of symptoms or positive diagnosis.
Limiting new patients to the clinic: We are only accepting new patients to the clinic that are able to adhere to our covid policies and procedures. This means that you will have to fill in both forms that are sent to you when you book an appointment when they are received or your appointment will be cancelled. If you are unable to follow our policies and procedures or are not comfortable with them we are unable to accept you as a patient at this time. We are confident with our current patient base at the clinic that they will follow our policies and procedures to keep all of those at Quanta safe as we have already established a professional relationship with clear expectations, boundaries and open lines of communication. We have already established an clinic environment where patients will not come in sick and will cancel appointments, will respect the current procedures and polices in place and they will also adapt to new protocols and procedures that arise periodically. We feel that by limiting new patients to those that are able to also remain complaint with the rules already established at Quanta we minimize any adverse impact on our current patient base, ensure that we are remaining compliant and we can meet the needs of our current patients while adhering to our strict protocols.
Travel: If you or a member of your household has travelled outside of the country please do a rapid test prior to booking your appointment if it has been less than 14 days since you have been back in Canada.
These requests are in alignment with the Public Health and Provincial Health Directives, and your efforts will help to keep us all healthy and safe.
