Reiki is a simple yet powerful technique for the reduction of stress and the promotion of relaxation and healing that was developed in the early 1900s by Dr. Mikao Usui. This Japanese technique is know today as Reiki. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese words, Rei – meaning universal and Ki – meaning life energy or universal life force. Reiki is not a religion and has no dogma. In fact, one does not need to believe in it for Reiki to work.
Reiki is not a however a substitute for regular medical care but instead works complimentary to them where it aligns balance and well being on all levels.
Reiki benefits can include reduction in stress, muscle tension, pain, anxiety and depression, improved sleep, digestion, mental and emotion issues.
What to expect:
Reiki works on the energetic levels of our bodies by removing energetic blockages. Reiki does not diagnose, intervene or manipulate. As energy has no boundaries and passes through anything, clothing is not removed during a session – wear whatever makes you comfortable.
